BedWars is a team minigame played on islands in the sky. Your bed is your respawn. Break the other teams beds and then wipe their players, and that team is out. Between fights you bridge with wool, buy swords, armor, and fireballs from a shop, and defend a small island while generators spit out iron and gold. Rounds are short, maps rotate, and parties queue together. Some networks add lucky blocks, rush modes, or a bridge-only variant. It is the lobby people mean when they say they want a quick PVP match rather than a month-long world. A good round is over before a hunger bar would have mattered. Look at whether the network offers rush, lucky blocks, or a standard four-team map, and whether a party can queue together. This is a match you finish, not a base you keep.
Solo queues exist, and so do doubles and squads. A solo game is a faster way to learn the shop. A squad game falls apart when three friends buy swords and nobody buys blocks for the bed defense. Check the party size on the listing and agree on who shops before you jump in. The better networks show a map pool so you are not surprised by a tiny rush layout.
